Pierre FICHEUX worked among others at Red Hat and then specialized in industrial applications of embedded Linux. He was the co-founder and CTO of Open Wide, a service company specializing in open source software. Following the integration of Open Wide into the Smile group in 2015, he's now CTO of the Smile ECS (Embedded & Connected Systems) division. Author of 5 books on Embedded Linux (Eyrolles editions, from 2002 to 2017) he is also author of white papers published by Smile and devoted to open source software for embedded and IoT (Embedded Linux, Embedded Android).  Pierre also teaches embedded and real-time Linux in several engineering schools including Polytech Sorbonne (Paris), ESILV (Paris), ENSEIRB-Matmeca (Bordeaux) and CY Tech (Cergy).
