What are the reasons that push companies toward open source softwares solution?
Some answers to this question are known:
* The access to a source code, with a developing community, which provide software support, quality and even sometimes security. * The adaptability of the source code to fit users need, * The access to a large and "free" software library.
Those answers are only the tip of the iceberg and cannot be enough to understand the compagny policies toward open source tooling.
